ESA play twice at their homebase of Regensburg on Saturday, 25 June 2011.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After presenting our new album "Bartok’s Crisis" at 12.00 a.m. on the “Jahninsel”, which also gave families the chance to hear what great music "premium symphonic rock" is, we then took to the stage again in the evening at 8.30 p.m. in the “Thon Dittmer Palais” together with "Floyd Reloaded"(www.floydreloaded.de)
The start of the concert wasn’t favoured by the gods. Having had dry weather all day and even sunshine in the morning, at 8.15 p.m. it started to rain. That caused massive problems for setting up, for which we and Floyd Reloaded had no more than 30 minutes anyway. Since the stage wasn’t fully covered either, parts of our equipment got wet and couldn’t be used. The start was therefore delayed for an hour until the technicians had got everything fixed again.
But that did nothing to spoil the great atmosphere. Floyd Reloaded first played the well-known classics from Pink Floyd. An ecstatic audience sang and clapped along.
ESA then followed with a stage show of superlative class with new songs. We’ll have photos here shortly. You can find videos here too under the category "News New Songs"
It was a really fantastic evening, in spite of the wet start.
For all those who can’t remember any more, ESA played at the last “Bürgerfest” two years ago in the “Thon Dittmer Palais” as well. It was an incredible stage and a great atmosphere. This year was even cooler because it was two terrific groups that played.
